A precise online stopwatch with lap timing. It counts up in hundredths of a second, keeps running accurately when the tab is in the background, and records lap splits so you can compare intervals. Everything runs in the browser with nothing to install.
How to use
- Press Start to begin timing.
- Press Lap to record a split without stopping the clock; each lap shows its own interval and the running total.
- Press Pause to hold the time and Start again to resume from where you stopped.
- Press Reset to clear the time and all recorded laps.
Frequently asked questions
How precise is the stopwatch?
It measures elapsed time with the browsers high-resolution performance clock and displays hundredths of a second. Accuracy does not degrade while the tab is in the background.
What is the difference between split and total in the lap table?
Total is the elapsed time when you pressed Lap. Split is the time since the previous lap, so you can compare individual intervals.
Do my laps survive a page reload?
No. Laps and the running time are kept in memory for the session and are cleared on reload or Reset. Nothing is saved to a server.
Can I keep it running in another tab?
Yes. The stopwatch keeps accurate time in the background; the display updates when you return to the tab.
